SDE: Science Field Trip Grants Available

EPSCoR provides science-related field trip grants funded by a 3-year grant from the National Science Foundation. All Oklahoma public schools that meet eligibility requirements may apply for grants to cover transportation and/or entrance fees for field trips to the following museums:

• Kirkpatrick Science and Air Space Museum Omniplex (Oklahoma City)
• Jasmine Moran Children's Museum (Seminole)
• Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse (Enid)
• Tulsa Air and Space Museum (Tulsa)
• Museum of the Great Plains (Lawton)
• Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History (Norman)

Field trips may be taken anytime before April 30, 2008. Schools must apply and receive funding prior to taking the field trip. Students are required to attend at least one hands-on science lab or demonstration during the field trip. Teachers must submit field trip reports within 30 days after the field trips are completed.
