Update: State Funding Formula Task Force

The Oklahoma School Funding Task Force met again yesterday. According the the lead paragraph in the Journal-Record article on the meeting, "A complete overhaul of the common education school funding formula appears unlikely....The consensus among those involved in the discussion seemed to indicate a desire to make minor tweaks to the formula rather than completely move to another system."

Most of the discussion was focused on a 2005 study of the formula by Augenblick, Palaich and Associates, Inc., a private consulting firm.
