Oklahoman: Site matches classrooms with potential donors

Check out this article in today's Oklahoman: What Teachers Need for Class, Site Helps Fund. Here's a snippet from the end of the article:

DonorsChoose.org has $75,000 set aside for use in Oklahoma in the site's Kick Start Challenge. The first 75 public schools that get 10 teachers to post at least one proposal each will each receive $1,000 to fund their proposals, spokeswoman Natalie French said.

The challenge ends Dec. 20. Already about 70 project proposals from Oklahoma teachers are on the site, she said.

Donors who give at least $100 or provide the money needed to finish funding a project will get a feedback packet later, including pictures of students using the equipment or participating in the activity, French said.
