The "What Works" Clearinghouse

Still catching up on things we missed in December (we had an ice storm which seemed to have strangely delayed some of the mail, plus we took some time off over the holidays).

Robert Slavin had an interesting Commentary in Education Week on the US Dept. of Ed's "What Works" Clearinghouse. (I always put that in quotes, because I don't believe it really finds out what works. Kind of like the federal government's view of what constitutes a "Highly Qualified Teacher.")
