63 million bloggers?
So, we hear that Technorati currently lists more than 63 million blogs. We searched Technorati for education blogs and got more than 13,000 listings. (We can tell that not all of them are really education blogs.) Some sorting is in order! We've listed blogs that are most relevant to Oklahoma education in the Links section (it's over on the left side of the page). In case it's of interest, here are some other blogs of note:
Deborah and Diane are back, and the discussion is always interesting. Bridging Differences is an Education Week blog -- an interesting conversation between Deborah Meier and Diane Ravitch. As the intro notes, they "...have found themselves at odd on policy over the years, but they share a passion for improving schools."
While reading comments on the Bridging Diffs blog, I ran across American Indians in Children's Literature. Because we thought that this blog that would be of interest to educators here in Oklahoma, we added it to the Links section.
Weblogg-ed is "dedicated to discussions and reflections on the use of Weblogs, wikis, RSS, audiocasts and other Read/Write Web related technologies in the K-12 realm, technologies that are transforming classrooms around the world." If these technologies aren't transforming your classroom, don't you owe it to your kids to take a look? (I do find the "snap shots" feature to be irritating, though.)
Susan O'Hanian Speaks Out definitely has a political view. Which view? Oh, don't make us do all your work for ya....go take a look on your own! Check out the cartoons and Stupid Test Items.
