This is an interesting article -- Oklahoma is adding a graduation tests JUST as the rest of the nation is declining.

The other thing that's always really gotten me about graduation exams is noted in a little sidebar. Here's the relevant information:

Who has to pass graduation exams to get high school diplomas?
White 58%
Latino 84%
African-American 72%
All minority students 76%

And by 2012, the gap will be 63% white, 81% minority.

Graduation tests are things that "us" do to "them," I think.
